Christchurch Arts Centre Update

There has been a development in the rebuilding of the Christchurch Arts Centre with a new tenant announced for the old Le Cafe space!

Not long ago, we did a post on Le Cafe and what a great site is was. In some exciting news today in The Press, a new tenant has been announced for the space! The new restaurant and cafe will be called Bunsen. A fitting name given its location :-).

It would follow a chemistry theme inspired by the building’s history as a chemistry and physics laboratory and lecture hall.

Bunsen will be open from 7am to late every day of the year and is set to open in September with owner James Evans wanting to pay homage to Le Cafe by providing its own version of some of the former sites best dishes.
