Flashback Tuesday: Le Cafe

Le Café.

Ahh, even the name brings back memories. There really was no where better to go in Christchurch for a late night dessert or hot drink than Le Café. The chicken nachos were suburb too :).  Situated in the prime location of Worcester Boulevard in the clock tower building of the Art Centre, the place was always bustling.

Sadly, the earthquake has taken this glorious establishment from us. The previous owner, James Jameson, started a new bar in 2013 called the St Asaph St Kitchen and Stray Dog Bar however in February 2015 he closed the doors there for the last time.

Thankfully the number of eateries in Christchurch post quake is building back up again however I feel it’s just not the same without Le Café! It truly is missed and surely is by all who have been there before.

All the best to James and thanks for Le Café.
