Things to do: Halswell miniature trains

Nestled in part of the Halswell Domain is a fully running series of miniature train tracks, complete with crossing lights, bridges and tunnels. A group called The Canterbury Society of Model and Experimental Engineers Inc (CSMEE) operate the trains and maintain the track.

CSMEE operate the trains on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm for $2 a ride. Cash only.

Kids love riding on these trains and they really are quite fantastic to see in action! A food truck is often on site too selling coffees, cold drinks, ice cream and food such as hot chips and bacon butties.
